It’s not an image viewer.. it can save images to your photo roll, but won’t do anything with images already there. This program is for making pictures of the Mandelbrot and Julia fractals. As soon as it launches, you should be able to move around and zoom in and out of the Mandelbrot set.

I don’t know what I am doing wrong! I downloaded Fractile.. It asked to access my pics .. And thats been it. I want to try my pics but can’t get this to move or zoom or anything.. Is there a tutorial on Youtube or something. I can’t get this one image with the square and + & – off my screen.. No swiping… Dead! I reinstalled again .. Nothing! Help!!

One feature suggestion – is it possible for the app to use inertial scrolling? Seems a little cumbersome when zoomed quite far in to keep a finger on to scroll, it would be great to scroll with a flick like in browsers, lists and other apps.

This might take a while for me to fix unfortunately, I’m way behind on the OSX upgrade cycle.

(The random-seeming choice of image sizes is normal BTW – the options you get just depend on how far you’re zoomed in.)

Open the App …I see the start version of Mandelbrot – my last preference = red background black center is still active
I touch the wheel top right and select “Save image”
Select 1646×1236 pixel (funny, last time I selected this it showed a third size 700 x ? or so)
Blue dialog appears computing … with a moving bar …
Then I see the regular iPad desktop … Fractal Plus has not been quit but moved to the bottom = closed program

Same with Julia … here I get 3 options to save but same effect … program disappears and hibernates an the bottom.
I open iPhoto and search for any kind of new photo under photos, albums or places – nothing.
As a test I took a picture of myself with the iPad camera … its there in iPhoto
I also looked iBooks and Kiosk nothing

I inspected my iPad via the software “iMacsoft iPad to Mac Transfer.app” … nothing.
The system on my iPad is iOS 6.0 (10A403)
By the way – on my iPod with iOS 5.1 (9B206) the program works fine – in mandelbrot I also get 3 and not only 2 sizes.

So – any idea what I should check further out?
